Welcome! My name is Fernanda Olmos, I am sixteen years old and I am a sophomore at Fenton High School. I am a member of the National Honor Society, Track and Field, and Basketball. I enjoy watching Netflix or drawing in my free time. I hope you enjoy this blog and podcast!

As a daughter of immigrants, I find the immigration debate that´s going on in the United States important to me in a matter. I decided to make a debate towards immigration in order to receive other people´s point of views about this matter and help people who don´t quite understand this debate.

There is an estimation of over 11 million illegal immigrants that are in the U.S today. It has resulted in dozens of children being born here and issues in the U.S. However, the way how America handles these issues has come to a breaking point. The question is, what will we do to change the minds of others in the U.S today? Should there be very strict immigration laws that will affect over 10 million people?  Fernanda Olmos turns the question on her fellow friends and family. These different points of views will be able to help determine whether or not we should have strict immigration laws.

    I also did my podcast on immigration. I think it is a very hard process and definitely deserves to have more eyes on it. If more people view how it has affected those who are already here, I think they'd realize how sad some situations are. I think everyone deserves to have the opportunity for a path to citizenship.

    I've heard many conflicts surrounding the topic of immigration and I am very proud of you and anyone bringing awareness about it. Everyone should hear about people's lives who are affected by immigration to make their situations easier because most are very difficult. Also, anyone should be given a chance at citizenship.

      I'm also the daughter of immigrants and I'm happy you made this podcast to show others how difficult the lives of immigrants are. After leaving hard lives from another country, I don't think it should be so difficult to start a new one.

    I am also the daughter of immigrants and i find it amazing that you chose to speak out about something so important. Your podcast was very informational and important because not many people are very aware about everything surrounding this topic. Great job on the podcast!
