an Athlete Could ask For?

About Me: Hi!!! Welcome back to my blog, A Day in the Life, I'm your host Lisette Rodriguez. I am 15 years old and I am a sophomore at Fenton who plays basketball, volleyball, and softball. My Parents are both Hispanic and I LOVEEEE going to Mexico, I actually went this summer and had my quinceñera as you can see in the picture. I have an older brother that is a freshman in college at the Illinois Institute of Technology and is majoring in architecture. And why not just add a little fun fact...my favorite animal is a horse so for my fifteenth birthday (quinceñera) I got my own photo shoot with a ton of horses it was amazing!!Varsity Basketball (2018) |
This is a topic I take dearly to heart because I, fortunately, haven't suffered from any type of injury, and for me to have been playing sports since I was in first grade is pretty impressive. I am thankful that I haven't gotten injured, but I realize the consequences and the probabilities of getting injured while playing a sport is very likely. This has been a big eye-opener for me because I realize no matter the injury it's all up to you and how you take in everything that contributes to your next decision. Having a brother and a father who have been seriously injured while sports is scary but that won't take away my love for sports. . .
Basketball summer league (2018) |
JV volleyball (2018) |
Freshman Softball (2018) |
I won't lie I love playing ALL and any sport but my all time favorite is, has, and will always be basketball. As a freshman last year I got moved up right away to the JV team, I won't lie it was a bit nerve-racking at first but I eventually got used to it. This past summer I played in a summer league with most of the varsity team and the head coach asked me to play with varsity this year! So now as a sophomore going into a varsity team is scary but I always enjoy a challenge.
