Football Frenzy Friday

Football Frenzy Friday
Brought to you by Nickolas Benn

We are all familiar with the very well known movie, Concussion, and how it highlights the idea of football being a very dangerous sport. There’s talk about the long-term brain damage that many professional football players experience, all from hard hits to the head and concussions. But there’s a point where some of the data collected to prove this research becomes invalid and not credible. An absurd amount of the data comes from players who played a long time ago. Ways of tackling, along with the equipment itself, have all been improved since then. I myself am a football player, and do not like that with all of this “concussion” talk, comes a big decrease in the youth playing football. I have gone around to talk to my fellow teammates in this school to get their takes on this issue of people staying away from football.
