History of Poland Bit By Bit Episode 1 - Martial Law

In this Podcast, you will learn a little bit of History. Don't worry this is not the super boring history that we all know and love. It's the history of people and how they lived their lives during Martial Law. This time has affected Poland negatively. The communist restricted everything, which outraged the Polish people. But this didn’t stop us. We fought back no matter what. Having a strong will, and not allowing anyone or anything to take over our beautiful country.  And this is how the group named Solidarność was created.

Generał Wojciech Jaruzelski (yaroo-ZELL-skee)

General Wojciech Jaruzelski was Poland’s last communist leader. He imposed the Martial law on December 13, 1981. He was the First Secretary of the Polish United Workers’ Party from 1981 to 1989. Also being the last commander-in-chief of the Polish People’s Army. He later resigned in 1989.
