Polish People Talk Episode 1 - Classic Cars

FSO was a Polish company that made these amazing Classic Cars. It was the first Polish manufacturing car factory in Poland. This company produced the first Polish manufactured car. This was a big deal for Poland.
Warszawa

The Warszawa. The first car that was mass-produced in Poland. This car was manufactured by FSO from 1951 to 1973. This beautiful curvy vehicle was named after Poland's capital. This car also took on forms as an ambulance, station wagon, a pickup, and a draisine.
Syrena

The Syrena was a small two-door sedan that was put into production in 1957. And was manufactured until 1983. This car was the Central Committee of the Polish Communist Party. The Syrena was created for a popular means of transport, which will save time during business and leisure and will be meant for rationalizers.
Nysa

Nysa was produced in the town Nysa. This car was manufactured in a factory that manufactured beds and safes amongst other things. This vehicle used the same chassis as the Warszawa. In the seventies, a large portion of the car's production was meant for exports to markets. These markets being West Germany, China, Spain and many more.
Polski Fiat 125p

Polski Fiat 125p was produced under license from the Italian company Fiat. This car was manufactured from 1967 to 1991. This vehicle was a state-of-the-art vehicle in the second half of the sixties. This car also drove a well know Polish Pope known as John Paul ll during his first pilgrimage to Poland.

Polish Fiat 126p

The Polish Fiat 126p was also produced under the license from the aforementioned Italian firm. This car was manufactured from 1973 to 2000 by FSM. 3.3 million units of his vehicle have been produced. And 2.4 million of this units were for the Polish market. This little car is also known as a Maluch in Poland.

This is a Maluh driving around Chicago. It may be small but you can fit four people.
Tarpan

Tarpan was mostly known for agricultural use. This car had an adjustable movable partition to clean the truck easily and this truck could fit a six-person family. This vehicle was produced from 1972 to 1994.
Polonez

The Polonez was the last car produced for the public. A million units were produced by FSO from 1978 to 2002. There have been a couple of versions of this car that appeared and was produced in small numbers.
Sport Syrena

The sport Syrena was a prototype designed by FSO engineers from 1957 to 1960. During this time the communist authorities didn't appreciate this vehicle's style and it didn't correspond to their ideology, in which there should not be any flashy cars. This car was never put into production. And sadly the only specimen of the car was destroyed in the seventies.
Mr. Stanisław Car (Polonez)
Mr. Stanisław imported this amazing Polonez. He wanted to bring his childhood car to American. He enjoys owning this car and driving it around town. He puts a lot of love in taking care of it. While treating it as his fourth child.
