Should College Athletes be Paid
The debate of the Day: College Athletes
In 2017 Hall of Fame Coach, Rick Patino was fired from his Louisville position as head coach. He brought in the right recruits, won games, and was consistent as a college coach can be. The answer to why he got fired: PAYING PLAYERS. For decades it has been a debate on whether college athletes should be entitled to revenue that is attached to there image and skillset as a player. Some believe that these athletes scholarship is their revenue, however, others believe that the NCAA should pay there athletes. This debate even lounges in the courtroom, and to a point violates the rights of these players. If looked at in a legal aspect this is illegal, but these sports mean so much to these athletes, that they won't bother fighting for this money. What do you think?
