The Dark Side of Social Media
☆Audrey Benitez☆
Hi, I'm Audrey a sophomore in Fenton High School. I enjoy going on social media just like many other teenagers do, I have Snapchat and Instagram which you are all free to follow: @a_audreybr. It's just fun looking at memes and posts about gymnastics, running and Noah Centineo for hours instead of doing more productive things. Now, I do get all my work done but social media certainly doesn't make it any easier for me as well as for others.

Platforms such as Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, and many others have taken over most of our teenage life by entertaining us and connecting us with different people. Yet, it has also been the cause of one's self-consciousness about their physical appearance. It takes it to the point where social media begins to pressure adolescents to be a certain way until it ruins them without them noticing, and you could even be a victim of it. In this podcast episode, Spilling the Tea Radio tracks the rise of mental health issues since the existence of social media and interviews adolescents on their personal views on these teen consuming platforms. Click the link down below so you don't slip this podcast's episode because the tea is certainly hot.
